WILDLIFE SERIES
The Canadian Grizzly coin is the second coin released in the Royal Canadian Mint’s “Canadian Wildlife Series” program.
Issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in extremely limited quantities, each 2011 Canadian Silver Grizzly features the highly-threatened — and in some parts of Canada, endangered — brown bear. The beautiful, roaring creature is set in front of a picturesque mountain scene.
The obverse of each 2011 Canadian Silver Grizzly features Susanna Blunt’s portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
